Students throng Kohat literature festival

KOHAT: Students from different colleges and institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa enthusiastically participated in the Institute of Medical Sciences’ grand literary festival the other day, according to a statement released here on Sunday. Prominent authors and poets including renowned author and poet Dr Abasin Yusafzai attended the event, which was organised under the chief minister’s ‘Awami Agenda.’ Their papers and speeches captivated the audience. Syed Motasim Billah Shah, Commissioner Kohat division, was the chief guest on the occasion.The institute’s students enthusiastically organised the event, and the commissioner, highlighting the government’s ‘Awami Agenda’, assured the students that proper arrangements would be made for their educational and recreational activities. In addition to thanking the administration of the institute and the visitors from other universities in the province, Mr Shah expressed the hope that constructive activities would shield the students from the negative consequences of drugs and other negative activities, the statement added.
