Cop laid to rest at native town in Muzaffargarh

MUZAFFARGARH: The funeral prayers for police constable Mubashir Bilal, who died during clashes near Islamabad, were offered at Police Lines on Tuesday and he was laid to rest at his native town. The ceremony was attended by south Punjab Additional IG Kamran Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan RPO Sajjad Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary Ajmal Khan, officers from various government departments and a large number of people from all walks of life. Constable Mubashir is survived by his wife, mother, two daughters and a son. Both his wife and mother are battling cancer, while one of his daughters is suffering from Thalassemia. Speaking to the media, Additional IG Kamran Khan said, “Some other officers and officials from south Punjab have also been martyred in the line of duty. We will never back down from serving the nation.” He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of young officers who performed their duties with dedication. He further mentioned that some police officers from Khanewal had been injured during the clashes, and detailed reports regarding their condition are awaited. Mubashir Bilal had joined police in 2012. The prime minister, chief minister, and IG Punjab have pledged their support for his family’s care, particularly for his ailing wife, mother, and daughter.
