SAHIWAL: Anti-Terrorism Court Special Judge Asif Bashir ordered to frame a charge sheet against Khaw
SAHIWAL: Anti-Terrorism Court Special Judge Asif Bashir ordered to frame a charge sheet against Khawar Maneka, the former husband of Bushra Bibi, and his son Musa Maneka on Oct 2. The judge issued the order while hearing Rs112m corruption case, filed by ACE Okara on the complaint of the then deputy commissioner of Okara on Aug 11, 2023. The ACE inquiry had confirmed the corruption of Rs110m by Maneka in occupying Haveli Lakha graveyard land and not depositing Rs10.3m conversion fees while converting an agricultural piece of land into a commercial plaza having more than two dozen shops. Khawar Maneka was arrested at the Multan airport while returning from Dubai. Later, his bail was confirmed by the Lahore High Court. Last month, he filed an appeal for the dismissal of his case but the special judge rejected it.
