ISLAMABAD: Pak Mission Society (PMS), an organisation serving the unreached communities of Pakistan, celebrated its 20th anniversary on Friday with a thanksgiving event attended by over 450 guests. The gathering included dignitaries from the ministries of climate change and human rights, academia, donors, partners, government officials and staff from across the country, says a press release. Parliamentary Secretary for Climate Change Rana Ahmed Ateeq praised PMS’ contributions, saying: “Organisations like Pak Mission Society are pivotal in bridging gaps between communities and development. Your commitment to resilience and capacity-building is inspiring and essential for fostering hope and cohesion in Pakistan.” “Our work is organised around resilience, building capacities, and self-reliance, with cross-cutting themes like localisation, gender equality and social cohesion,” said Adeel Rehmat, Founder and CEO of PMS.
