CHARSADDA: Office-bearers of three business organisations in Charsadda have flayed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority (KPHA) officials for making fresh demarcations, which will change the already designed map of shops on the Tangi Road. Speaking at a meeting here on Wednesday, they warned the PKHA officials to desist from ‘creating’ problems for the business community or they would launch a protest movement. They alleged that the authority was making fresh demarcations on the instigation of some influential persons in the area. Apart from affected shopkeepers of the market, the meeting was also attended by shopkeepers’ federation president Hakeemullah Fuji, traders’ union president Iftikhar Hussain, and Tajir federation president Lal Mohammad Lal. The traders said several years ago the KPHA had placed marks on the shops at the said market, which were still there, but now the KPHA authorities were bent upon changing these marks and creating difficulties for shopkeepers. They condemned the KPHA officials’ action as deplorable and ‘anti-traders’ in every respect. They requested the KPHA officials not to remove the old marks. They urged KPHA officials to sort out the issue with traders through mutual understanding. : One person was killed and two were injured in a firing incident in the parking lot of Shabqadar Judicial Complex here on Wednesday. He nominated brothers Haider Ali and Bihar Ali, also of Mandezai area, in the FIR. He said the motive behind the attack was an old enmity. An army soldier, who embraced martyrdom in a clash with militants along Pak-Afghan border in Bajaur tribal district, was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Behlola, Sar Dheri here.
