Pakistan defeated South Africa by 36 runs in the final ODI, sweeping the series 3-0. Chasing 308 runs target, the hosts were bowled out for 271 runs. Pakistan posted a competitive target of 308 runs against South Africa in a rain-affected game reduced to 47 overs. Batting first, Pakistan faced an early setback as Abdullah Shafique was dismissed for a duck with the team at just 1 run. However, a steady partnership between Saim Ayub and Babar Azam helped stabilize the innings. Saim Ayub delivered a stellar performance, scoring a century off 91 balls, including two sixes and 13 fours, before being dismissed for 101 runs. This marked his second century against South Africa and the third of his career. Babar Azam contributed a composed 52 off 71 balls with seven boundaries, while Mohammad Rizwan added 53 and Salman Ali Agha played a quickfire knock of 48 off 33 balls. South Africa’s bowling effort was led by Kagiso Rabada, who claimed three wickets, while Jansen and Fortuin picked up two wickets each. Pakistan, already leading the series 2-0, aims to complete a clean sweep with this final match. Pakistan, looking to finalize their squad for the upcoming challenges, made three changes to their playing XI. Tayyab Tahir, Mohammad Hasnain, and Sufyan Maqeem were brought in, replacing Irfan Niazi, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed. The Pakistan squad for this match includes captain Mohammad Rizwan, Saeem Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Salman Agha, Tayyab Tahir, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, and Sufyan Maqeem.
