Martyred FC soldier laid to rest in Bajaur

BAJAUR: An FC soldier, who embraced martyrdom during a gun battle with militants in Khyber district’s Tirah valley last night, was laid to rest in his native town here on Wednesday. The funeral prayers of Niaz Mohammad, who along with several colleagues was martyred during an exchange of fire with militants in Tirah valley a day ago, were offered in Laghari Mula Kallay area of Mamond tehsil, according to a statement. Hundreds of people belonging to different walks of life, his relatives and friends attended the funeral. Later, the deceased was laid to rest in his native graveyard with full military honour after a group of security personnel presented a salute to his coffin wrapped in the national flag. His body was brought to the area from Tirah valley in the morning.
