Jackie Apostel, Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend, has revealed the difficult road she's been on since her life-changing spinal surgery in 2024. The operation, which left her unable to walk for months, marked the start of a long and painful recovery. Cruz' lover, who is ten years older than him, recently opened up about undergoing spinal fusion surgery, as she reached out to her fans, asking for advice and support. Jackie shared: "Question for my friends that have also had a spinal fusion - do you guys feel like it gets way more tense and painful when it's cold outside too?" "First winter with the rods in and it's weeeeeird." Spinal fusion is a surgery which connects two or more vertebrae in the spine, helping to reduce the pain, fix issues and improve the spine's stability. However, during the painful surgery, the doctor inserts a bone graft between the vertebrae to stop them from moving too much. The surgeon might use a bone graft, which can be sourced from the patient, a donor, or artificial materials. To keep the bones stable, metal screws and rods are often added.
