The writer emphasised that hope is essential for survival, serving as a driving force that inspires individuals to pursue their desires and achieve success. Without hope, people can experience significant stress and depression, hindering their personal and professional growth. This is regarding the story “My Nana” by Huzaifa Shaikh (YW, October 12). The narrative captured the joy of quality time shared between a grandfather and his grandchildren, as he brought them happiness by buying toys and candies. This heart-warming story beautifully illustrated the enduring love between grandchildren and their grandparents. This is regarding the story “A day in their shoes” by Rudaina Hammad, (YW, October 12). The story teaches that empathy can change perceptions and foster respect, as Faisal and Ali learned by experiencing the lives of Noor and Ibrahim. It underscores the idea that kindness and understanding are powerful tools to address and prevent bullying, transforming negative behaviours into positive connections. This is with reference to the article “Let’s end the plastic crisis” by Ayesha Fatima (YW, October 26). The article effectively discussed the harmful impact of plastic bags and single-use plastics on our environment, wildlife and human health. The author’s emphasis on the need for immediate action and sustainable alternatives resonates deeply in today’s context. This article raises awareness about plastic pollution and inspires action. This concerns the “Footstool” in the Wonder craft section by the Crafter (YW, October 26). The footstool crafted from empty rolls turned out amazing! It is not only handy for kids, but also adults. I really appreciate the crafter for creating such wonderful projects, and hope to see more in the future. This innovative approach to crafting showcases how simple materials can be transformed into a functional footstool.
