School students show science projects

GUJRAT: A district-wide STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) competition was held among government schools at the Elementary School (Gujrat) showcasing remarkable talent and innovation from students. The event was organized to promote critical thinking, creativity and teamwork among young learners. Dr Kamran Aziz Khan, the Chief Executive Officer (Education) of Gujrat, spearheaded the initiative, supported by key education officials, including DEO Secondary Education Syed Walayatullah Shah, DEO Elementary Education (Male) Younas Warriach, and DEO Elementary Education (Female) Mrs Momi Gull. The event’s administration committee, comprising Ms Rukhsana Qadir, Mr Ch. Farooq, and Mr. Mudassar Javed Manj ensured seamless organization and execution of the competition. Their efforts provided students with an inspiring platform to display their innovative projects and ideas. Gujrat Deputy Commissioner Safdar Virk attended the event, expressing admiration for the creativity and hard work of the participants. He also commended the government schools for fostering such initiatives that encouraged academic excellence and holistic development. The STEAM competition marked a significant step towards enhancing the educational landscape of Gujrat, emphasising the importance of integrating arts and sciences to equip students with future-ready skills. The students of at least 60 schools participated in the competition on Wednesday.
