MOHMAND: A handicraft exhibition was organised at Government Girls Degree College Ekkaghund the other day. Students showcased their handmade creations, featuring works inspired by ancient civilisations, modern architectural styles, and various forms of art, including painting, paper, and woodcraft, at stalls arranged by the college administration. A large number of students, college staff, and guests attended the exhibition and took a keen interest in the handicrafts displayed by the students. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Yasir Hassan was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address, he praised the students’ great talent but emphasised the need for proper attention. He stated that if given the chance, they could play a key role in the country’s construction and development. College Principal Alia Mustafa welcomed the guests and praised the exhibition organising team for their hard work. Students taking part in the arts display remarked, “We are very happy that the girls have learned art and skills alongside their education.” They added that there were not many career options available to them after completing their education, so they could make a living by creating these handicrafts. Students who earned important positions in the handicraft exhibition event received cash rewards from the deputy commissioner on this occasion.
