SARGODHA: An underage maid was raped by an unidentified person in the Omar Park area of the city on Thursday. According to sources, the 13-year-old maid was raped by an unidentified who threw her at the deserted place after committing the heinous crime. Police found her unconscious and shifted her to the District Headquarters Teaching Hospital Sargodha where she was getting treatment when this report was filed. In light of the victim’s statement, the Cantt Police Station registered a case against an unidentified person on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Khizar Hayat. OPERATION: The waste management company will start its cleaning operation in all four districts of Sargodha Division from Jan 25. According to sources, the company decided to the start the operation in a meeting, chaired by Commissioner Malik Jahanzeb Awan. The meeting was informed about the details of machinery, human resources and plans for manual sweeping, desilting, mechanical sweeping, primary waste collection and door-to-door garbage collection. The commissioner directed the deputy commissioners (DCs) to monitor the resources and review the progress and conduct a thorough review of the machinery and resources. He said regular meetings should be held with contractors and waste enclosures and dumping sites should be reviewed. Mr Awan said the Clean Punjab Programme of was a flagship programme of the government and the administration of all four districts must be fully aware of the details of the outsourcing system. The chief executive officer of the waste management company must be briefed by the four deputy commissioners. An order was issued to provide a cleaning operation plan.
