In next two months, all Federal Directorate of Education (FDE)-run schools and colleges will remain open on Saturday as well till next two months. “To compensate the academic loss due to frequent closure of Educational Institutions it is decided by the competent authority that Saturdays will be observed as working day in all Educational Institutions working under the ambit of FDE with effect from 30-11-2024 to 01-02-2025. All educational institutions shall observe working days with already notified officials timings.” An official said that decision of opening schools on Saturdays was made by federal secretary education.
