PESHAWAR: Participants at an annual cultural event urged students to work towards promoting and uplifting the country’s positive image. They stated that such events motivated the youth to engage in positive activities that fostered a spirit of preserving cultural heritage. The Mohmand Students Union (MSU) arranged the event held at Nishtar Hall on Sunday to celebrate the selfless services of personalities from the Mohmand Pashtun tribe over the years. The MSU had started celebrating cultural night back in 1998 but formally began organising students under its banner in 2022. A large number of students from various universities and colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with rights activists and philanthropists, attended the event. In his opening remarks, Rizan Khan Mohmand, president of the MSU, stated that the cultural event was organised with the main objective of celebrating the contributions of notable individuals from the Mohmand Pashtun tribe. He also emphasised the aim of motivating other students to work towards uplifting the country’s positive image through selfless service. Awards and commendation certificates were presented to deserving individuals for their significant social contributions. Students who were position-holders in various categories were also awarded with best academic performance awards.
