Car lifters gang busted in Lower Dir

LOWER DIR: Talash police reported here the other day that they had seized a stolen vehicle and apprehended a gang of car lifters. An official from the police told local journalists that on October 24, a car belonging to a man named Safiullah disappeared from his Sia Bagh home. The investigating police team used mobile phone data and CCTV footage to track down the stolen vehicle after conducting a comprehensive investigation. The official stated that two suspects, Suliman and Shabir, were taken into custody after confessing to purchasing the vehicle from Imran and Ikramullah at a motor vehicle centre in Swat. Following a successful operation, Ouch residents Imran and Ikramullah were also taken into custody by the police on the charge of handling stolen vehicles. DPO Salim Abbas Kulachi awarded appreciation certificates to members of police team for best professional performance in the case. A two-day business expo organised by the district administration in collaboration with the Youth Affairs Department and Abdul Wali Khan University (AWKU) Mardan concluded at the university’s Timergara campus the other day. Students from different educational institutions, both male and female, attended the event and heard about business ideas. Various organisations set up different stalls. At the final session, the main guest was Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bashir Khan. Speaking during the event, the chief guest stated that it was the age of technology and e-commerce. According to him, pupils needed to get up-to-date information on digital marketing, e-commerce, and contemporary business techniques. At the end of expo, the faculty members and organisers were awarded appreciation certificates.
