PESHAWAR: Acting Ambassador of Indonesia to Pakistan Rahmat Hindiarta has said that trade relations between Pakistan and Indonesia can have very positive effects at the global level. He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of businessmen headed by Pakistan Development Foundation (PDF) chairman Mohammad Bilal Sethi at the embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, according to a statement issued on Saturday. Rahmat Hindiarta said that Pakistani food products would play a key role in global food security in the future. He said that there was ample opportunity to absorb Pakistani rice, meat, medicines, cosmetics and other commodities in the Indonesian market. JW Holdings chief executive officer, Hasnain Waheed, Yasir Kamran Khattak and Malik Mubasher Khan were also present on this occasion. Indonesian embassy officials briefed the delegation on the Indonesia-South and Central Asia (INASCA) Business Forum and Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) to be held in Jakarta in October and invited them to participate in the largest expo in Indonesia. Speaking on the occasion, Bilal Sethi said that he would play his role in promoting trade between Pakistan and Indonesia. He emphasised on enhancing youth business relations between the two countries. Mr Sethi said that the youth of Pakistan and Indonesia should cooperate with each other in digital marketing to improve the economy of their respective countries. He added that youth bulge of both Pakistan and Indonesia was a great resource which was supposed to be utilised and engaged in trade.
