Several held for festive firing at Bannu musical concert

LAKKI MARWAT: The police on Monday claimed to have arrested several people for firing in the air at a musical concert in Ghoriwala town of the Bannu district. A police official said that after receiving information about intense festive firing, a party of Ghoriwala police station reached the Bazeed Michenkhel area, where people had indulged in festive fire at a musical concert. He said that the musical concert was arranged in connection with the wedding of a resident. “The law enforcers arrested several people, and also seized music instruments, motorcycles and a coach from the venue,” he maintained. The police official said that the arrested men included Mohammad Ayub, Hikmatullah, Hanifullah, Naseeb, Salman, Mir Janat, Siraj, Junaid, Imran Khan, Abdullah, Bashir Khan, Ahmad Nawaz, Sher Ahmad, Ahmadullah, Sameenullah and Bakhtullah. “The arrested men were shifted to the police station where a case was registered against them and their fleeing accomplices under relevant sections of law,” he added.
