TOBA TEK SINGH: Kotwali police DSP reader Afnan Ali was suspended from service for allegedly sending unethical messages and harassing a woman. The woman had complained that Afnan used her phone number, taken from a submitted complaint, to make inappropriate calls and send objectionable WhatsApp messages. A police spokesperson stated a departmental inquiry had been initiated warning that Afnan will face permanent dismissal if the allegations are proven. Separately, Batala Colony police arrested Abdul Razzaq Jhaka and 14 accomplices in a raid at his house and recovered Rs635,000 in gambling stakes.
