TOBA TEK SINGH: Kotwali police DSP reader Afnan Ali was suspended from service for allegedly sending unethical messages and harassing a woman. The woman had complained that Afnan used her phone number, taken from a submitted complaint, to make inappropriate calls and send objectionable WhatsApp messages. A police spokesperson stated a departmental inquiry had been initiated warning that Afnan will face permanent dismissal if the allegations are proven. Separately, Batala Colony police arrested Abdul Razzaq Jhaka and 14 accomplices in a raid at his house and recovered Rs635,000 in gambling stakes. A sports corner was inaugurated at the Lyallpur Museum, showcasing the medals of international Taekwondo player Mian Ghafran Ali. Director Imran Raza announced plans to honour regional kabaddi, hockey, and cricket players in the gallery.
