LAHORE: A young man allegedly kidnapped for ransom was found murdered in the jurisdictions of Gulberg police on Sunday. Identified as Ahsan (29), the young man’s bullet-ridden body was recovered and his brother, Awais Saleem, alerted the police. A police official said the brother of the deceased said his family had received a call from some unidentified suspects who claimed that they had kidnapped Ahsan for ransom. He said the suspects demanded money for the release of his brother. As the kidnappers were in contact with the family, it was informed that Ahsan had been murdered. Sources said police had taken one of the suspects into custody and shifted the body to the morgue for autopsy.
