Principal of the host college retired Brig Ghulam Raza welcomed the chief guest. Speaking at the event, Maj-Gen Qureshi highlighted importance of national integration and urged the students to embrace patriotism and work towards betterment of the nation. He also stressed on responsible use of the social media, and called for its judicious utilisation to stay on a positive path. He encouraged the students to hone their analytical abilities to discern truth from falsehood which, he said, would enable them to discern the negative propaganda disseminated by adversarial forces. He commended the college principal, faculty and administrative team for organising such a grand and impactful event. Later, he gave away prizes to the winners of different contests and competitive segments in declamation, essay writing, badminton, squash and Hifz-i-Iqbal. Ahmed Sultan Khoso, a former secretary of the Sindh environment department, was the chief guest of the Hifz-i-Iqbal competition.
