LAHORE: Raja Samiu­llah four-goal show helped Army defeat IS/SQ/Plati­num Homes on the second day of the Patron’s Aibak Polo Cup here at the Lah­ore Polo Club on Wednesday. Army had a tough outing but Samiullah’s performance made the difference as they won 8-6½. Besides Sam­iullah, team-mates maj­or Asif and Shahid Imr­an contributed with two goals apiece. Hamaz Mawaz Khan was the lone warrior for IS/SQ/Platinum Homes as he scored five goals. Meanwhile, FG/Din Polo recorded two consecutive victories in the two-chukker games. First they rou­ted PB Polo 5-1½ and followed the triumph with a 4-2 victory against BN Polo. PB Polo, though, made amends later as they won a close battle against BN Polo 3½-3.
