PMS announces first phase exam results

LAHORE: Up to 6,513 candidates were declared successful in the Provincial Management Service (PMS) examination first phase and were eligible to appear in the second phase. The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) had conducted general knowledge written examination of 21,600 candidates, who were registered. The passed candidates are eligible to appear in the second phase of the written examination which would be held in Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi and DG Khan. The second phase of the PMS examination will be started on Jan 18. The compulsory subjects, including English, Urdu, Pakistan Studies and Islamic Studies, will take place from Jan 18-20 . Optional subject exams are divided into groups and scheduled from 25 January to 3 February. Each day will include morning and afternoon sessions for different papers.Last month, the Federal Public Service Commission released the results for the special CSS written exam of 2023. Out of the 21,947 candidates who applied, 15,245 appeared for the exam, with 519 candidates passing. The success rate stands at 3.4 percent. The exam, conducted from October 12 to 20, 2023, marks the first step in the selection process. Final merit and allocation seats will be determined after the interview process.
