Educational institutions to remain closed today as well

ISLAMABAD: All educational institutions in Islamabad will remain closed on Tuesday as well. Due to the prevailing law and order situation and protest of PTI, the district government on Monday decided to keep all public and private educational institutions closed on Tuesday. Owing to the protest, both public and private educational institutes remained closed on Monday as well. Majority of Islamabad’s roads are closed as the government wanted to stop advances of the PTI marchers into Islamabad. In Rawalpindi, all public and private educational institutions in city and cantonment areas will also remain closed on Tuesday (today). Deputy Commissioner Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema confirmed that the educational institutions will remain closed in the wake of the security situation. According to Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education spokesman Arslan Cheema, practical examinations of the intermediate second annual examination scheduled for Monday and Tuesday had been postponed. He said the new dates of the postponed practicals will be announced later and the candidates will be informed.
