Fake spiritual healer arrested

SARGODHA: Shah Nikdar police claimed on Monday to have arrested a fake spiritual healer at village 160 NB and found some explicit videos from his cell phone. Reports said suspect Irfan, a carpenter by profession, claimed to be guided by a spiritual power was allegedly involved in sexually exploiting women by making videos at village 160 NB, a suburb of Sargodha. The suspect had been carrying out this heinous activity for a long time and his followers included a large number of women. On Monday, Shah Nikdar police conducted a raid and arrested the fake spiritual healer. According to police, a case has been registered against the suspect. A youth was badly burnt due to the fire that broke out during welding at a shop. Reports said Ehsanullah, 26, of Chak 96-NB, was badly burnt while working in a gas cylinder shop when a fire suddenly broke out. Rescue 1122 shifted the injured youth to DHQ Teaching Hospital and extinguished the fire. Three people armed with axes and sticks allegedly tortured three women over a land dispute at Korrykot area. Reports said Zafar, Ameer and Asif broke into a house and tortured Muniraan Bibi, Rifat Bibi and Naziran Bibi. They managed their escape while the injured were shifted to a hospital.
