LAHORE: The Punjab government on Wednesday made significant administrative changes, transferring several key officials. Syed Tahir Raza Hamdani, previously serving as secretary to the Punjab Ombudsman was posted as the secretary of the Punjab Information and Culture Department. This move relieves DGPR Dr Shahinshah Faisal Azeem of the additional charge of the post. Dr Shahinshah Faisal Azeem was transferred from his position as Director General of Public Relations and posted as executive director of the Punjab Council of Arts. Current PUCAR Executive Director Ghulam Saghir Shahid was posted as new DGPR. Kaiser Saleem, awaiting posting in the S&GAD, was appointed as secretary to the Punjab ombudsman. In the School Education Department, Khalid Nazir, the special secretary, was transferred and posted as secretary of the department. Special Secretary (Operations) of the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Muhammad Iqbal was transferred to serve as the special secretary of the School Education Department. The government also made several other transfers, affecting 15 additional secretaries and assistant deputy commissioners across the province.
