ISLAMABAD: The capital police said on Thursday that armed muggers abducted a man and deprived him of his vehicle and a cell phone. A spokesperson for the police said a case has been registered at the Sangjani police station under section 392 (Robbery) and 365 (Kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine a person) in response to a complaint lodged by a citizen named Syed Haider Ali Naqvi. The police said that three armed individuals held Naqvi at gunpoint in Sector B-17 and hurled him into the rear seat of his vehicle. Two gunmen held him hostage in the backseat while another drove away his vehicle. The spokesperson said they crossed the Sangjani Toll Plaza turned towards Banazir Chowk and then reached the Bhadana village.
