ISLAMABAD: The capital police said on Thursday that armed muggers abducted a man and deprived him of his vehicle and a cell phone. A spokesperson for the police said a case has been registered at the Sangjani police station under section 392 (Robbery) and 365 (Kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine a person) in response to a complaint lodged by a citizen named Syed Haider Ali Naqvi. The police said that three armed individuals held Naqvi at gunpoint in Sector B-17 and hurled him into the rear seat of his vehicle. Two gunmen held him hostage in the backseat while another drove away his vehicle.
