The suspects were wanted in a robbery case at Phoolnagar Sarafa bazaar where they deprived a jeweller of gold worth about Rs50 million some weeks back. The robbers also shot at and injured a policeman Naveed Ahmed. According to police, officials took four robbers including Allah Waris of Lambay Jageer, Ahmed Raza of Bonga Balochan, Mushtaq and Shakeel of Lahore for recovery of the two kilo gold in an official van on Monday. While they were on their way back to police station and reached Mega Road in Pattoki, five unidentified robbers attacked the police van with guns.
