SUKKUR: Two out of four suspected thieves, who suffered severe burns while trying to steal high transmission lines’ cables from Guddu thermal power station three days back, succumbed to their wounds on Wednesday. Sources said that four men sneaked into the power station and were allegedly cutting the high tension wire when it suddenly caught fire and left them seriously injured. They were shifted to a Multan hospital where Abdul Sattar Shar and Saifullah Malik died today, they said. Meanwhile, the bereaved families alleged that power station’s security officers had killed their men. Armed robbers shot dead a youth when he put up resistance to their attempt to snatch his two-wheeler from him. Sohbat Ali Golo, a resident of Abdul Rahim Khan Domki village, was on his way to his village on his motorcycle, when the robbers intercepted him and tried to snatch his motorcycle within the limits of RD-109 police station in Bakhshapur, Kandhkot district. When the youth resisted, the robbers shot him dead and took away his motorcycle, police officials said.
