SUKKUR: Two shepherds belonging to the Solangi community were shot dead while they were grazing a herd of goats in the Pir Shahani area in Piryaloi taluka of Khairpur district. The victims were identified as Sanaullah, son of Sadoro, and Mohammad Ameen, son of Mushtaq Solangi. The assailants managed to escape after committing the crime. The bereaved families told the media that they had no enmity with anyone. The attack seemed to be linked with the ongoing hostility between some members of the community and their rivals belonging to the Nareja community, they said, adding that their families had nothing to do with the warring sides’ issues. They appealed to the authorities concerned to look into the unjustifiable act of killing two innocent persons of their community. Separately, a 20-year-old youth, Mir Mohammad Noonari, was killed with blows of an axe and daggers allegedly by five suspects in the Bakhshan Noonari village within the limits of the Shah Latif police station of Khairpur on Tuesday. On the complaint of the bereave family, police arrested one of the suspects, Sanwal Noonari, and were interrogating him.
