Prince William and Kate Middleton are seemingly taking prudent steps to mark a key event early on in the year. Following the success of the Kate’s Christmas Carol Service in December, the Palace is now holding meetings to make sure the Prince and Princess of Wales have a memorable start of their official year next week. As King Charles continues with his cancer treatment in 2025, Kate completed hers in September last year. Given the growing concerns surrounding the monarch’s health, William and Kate are expected to take a more prominent role as they are secretly being prepared for the throne. After ending her cancer battle, Kate is set to mark her milestone birthday next week. While there are no official plans released since the royal family still on holiday, there are talks held behind the scenes for the event, per royal expert, Richard Fitzwilliams. “If you look at Kensington Palace and the way they handled this,” the expert told “They've been very careful.” “We have absolutely no idea the way she will celebrate her birthday,” Fitzwilliams suggested. ““There have been meetings we know she’s participated in, but they’ve been very, very careful, firstly, not to give too much notice of this, and secondly, not to commit themselves to anything.” The expert noted that the Waleses were due for a visit to Italy which involves “months of planning” and Kate “still has a long way to go” with her recovery. Hence the couple is taking a “step-by-step” approach for any events. However, it seems likely that William and Kate will enjoy a private celebration and release a social media post with a statement to mark the occasion. Kate would be saving her strength for any important event on the royal calendar.
