The Khan Younis municipality in southern Gaza has announced it ran out of fuel to keep water and sewage facilities working, reports. Basic services such as sanitation, waste collection, and transport are no longer in service, which will result in the spread of health hazards and disease among residents, Palestinian media quoted the municipality as saying. The inability to operate water wells and desalination plants deprives more than 1.2 million residents of their basic rights to obtain clean water for drinking and other uses, it said.
