LAHORE: Domestic 50-over will continue after the recent completion of the Champions One-Day Cup with nine departments set to vie in the President’s Cup, which starts across five cities from Thursday. The 19-match tournament will see teams divided in groups of four and five. While Group ‘A’ will feature Higher Education Commission, Khan Research Laboratories, State Bank of Pakistan and Wapda. Group ‘B’, meanwhile, will consist of of Eshaal Associates, Ghani Glass, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, PTV and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited. The Group ‘A’ matches will take place in Abbottabad, Islamabad and Rawalpindi while the Group ‘B’ matches are set to be staged in Faisalabad and Lahore. The event will kick off with SNGPL taking on Ghani Glass at Saeed Sports City Bedian in Lahore. The semi-finals will be played on Oct. 13 and 14, while the final of the tournament will be staged on Oct. 16.
