CM meets ADB official

LAHORE: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz met Dr Emma Xiaoqin Fan, country director of the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Pakistan resident mission, to discuss ongoing development projects and future collaborations. The meeting covered strengthening the economy, improving basic infrastructure, and enhancing cooperation in agriculture, health, education, environmental protection, and digital development. The ‘Jalalpur Irrigation Project’ and clean energy initiatives were also on the agenda. The chief minister lauded the ADB’s financial and technical support for various Punjab projects, saying, “ADB’s cooperation plays a pivotal role in ensuring prosperity and economic recovery. The Punjab government is advancing under a comprehensive plan for socio-economic development. Collaboration with ADB will further strengthen these objectives.” Dr Fan praised the Punjab government’s initiatives for women’s empowerment and public welfare.
