MITHI: Bodies of two teenage sisters were found hanging with a dupatta from a tree on the edge of Bapuhar Hingorja village near Islamkot town on Sunday evening. Some villagers spotted the bodies of 17-year-old Hemaan Bheel and 15-year-old Venti Bheel, daughters of Dano Bheel, and informed the area’s police, who took the bodies into their custody. Police officials said that the victims’ family told them the girls had gone to work on farmland while others were occupied with household chores and men had gone to fetch water. Roughly after half an hour, they were informed that the sisters were seen hanging from a tree, they said. The parents informed police that both the sisters had a history of mental health issues. Their third sister had also died by suicide four years ago, they said. Villagers told reporters that the family lived in isolation, away from the main settlement of the village, and there was no dispute or issue with the family that they knew of. The sisters had reportedly been betrothed two years ago, they said.
