SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: An official of Frontier Corps sustained injuries in an IED blast in Deley area of Ladha tehsil of Upper South Waziristan district here on Sunday Police sources said that the explosive device was planted by unknown miscreants along the roadside, which exploded as the FC man was passing by. The injured was taken to a nearby hospital. The sources said that security forces promptly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the perpetrators. The incident highlights the ongoing security concerns in the region, and the need for continued vigilance and cooperation between the security forces and local communities to prevent such incidents. Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of the Pakistan Army, has yet to issue any statement regarding the blast and injuries to a FC man. The incident was, however, confirmed by the local people and the police.
