Snake bite victim dies in Pindigheb

TAXILA: The nonavailability of antivenom at the PindighebTehsil Headquarters Hospital caused the death of a snake bite victim on Saturday, sources said. Hailing from Dandi village, theman identified as Shoukat was bitten by a snake while working in the fields. His family brought him to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Pindigheb in serious condition but the hospital did not have antivenom and he was referred to the Rawalpindi where doctors tried their best to save his life but he could not survive. Later, his body was handed over to the bereaved family for the burial.
