ISLAMABAD: Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan on Saturday stressed the need for regular exchange of knowledge and best practices between the parliaments of Pakistan and Spain in order to build stronger bonds between the two countries. He also reiterated the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening relations. Spain and Pakistan have shared values of democracy, peace, and cultural diversity which form the foundation of the two nations’ relationship, the Deputy Chairman Senate said while speaking to a Spanish delegation currently visiting Islamabad. “The ties between Pakistan and Spain go beyond formal diplomacy. Our nations share a commitment to democratic ideals and global peace. Tonight, we reaffirm our dedication to fostering closer cooperation in various areas, from governance and public policy to trade and cultural exchanges,” said Syedaal Khan. Mr Khan expressed solidarity with Spain following the recent devastating flash floods, offering condolences to the Spanish people for the tragic loss of lives and widespread damage. He also called for exploring greater collaboration in trade, renewable energy, tourism, and technology, emphasizing that both countries have much to gain from shared progress and innovation. Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan concluded with a commitment to further strengthening the ties of friendship and collaboration between Pakistan and Spain.
