The incident occurred near Super Bund of Langar Wahh when the police team on patrol was fired upon by the robbers. In the crossfire, one of the robbers, identified as Mukhtiar Ahmad, was injured by the firing of his own accomplices as police were attempting to recover arms and stolen animals. Seetpur Station House Officer Sheroaz said the injured robber was shifted to the Seetpur Rural Health Centre in critical condition. Mukhtiar, of Fazilpur, is reportedly involved in over 20 cases of theft and robbery. The other accomplices managed to escape under the cover of darkness, while the police continue their pursuit.
