SHANGLA: Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) here on Thursday arrested a revenue department official for illegally transferring a widow’s property in the Chawga area of Puran in 2022. According to the First Information Report (FIR) registered with the local ACE on December 17, a three-year-long inquiry was completed, proving the illegal transfer of the complainant’s property. The inquiry revealed that revenue officials, including Naib Tehsildar Israrud Din, Tehsildar Musharaf Khan and others, were allegedly involved in the fraud and corruption. The FIR stated that the complainant, Shah Paroo, had filed a complaint in September 2022, alleging that her property was illegally transferred by her nephew, Ahmad Ali, who used fake thumb impressions in collusion with officials of the revenue department. The department initiated an inquiry upon receiving the complaint. After a thorough investigation, the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) confirmed the validity of the complaint and the involvement of revenue department officials in the illegal transfer of the property. ACE officials confirmed the development, stating that Naib Tehsildar Israrud Din had been arrested in the case, and efforts were underway to apprehend the other accused, including Tehsildar Musharaf Khan and others. TAILORING COURSE: The local administration initiated a special programme to train persons with disabilities (PWDs) in sewing and tailoring skills, aimed at making them economically independent. Assistant Commissioner Alpuri, Mohammad Hamid Saddiqui, told journalists that after receiving multiple applications from persons with disabilities for financial support, he decided it would be better to make them financially self-sufficient. He said that in the first phase, they would provide a one-month-long tailoring course to physically challenged individuals. In the next phase, they planned to train orphans and the youth of the district.
