KARACHI: The provincial government on Sunday announced the closure of all private schools situated at and around Sharea Faisal and Habib Ibraim Rahmatullah Road for four days starting Tuesday (tomorrow). The school education and literary department has given this directives in view of the mega defence show IDEAS-2024, which is set to be held at the Karachi Expo Centre from Nov 19 to 22. According to a government announcement, the movement of dignitaries, from their hotels to Expo Centre, will be taking place frequently via Sharea Faisal and Habib Ibraim Rahmatullah Road during this time. “Therefore, you are directed to close your school with effect from 19th to 22nd November 2024 in order to provide safe and foolproof passage to such high-ups,” it added. It may be noted that the DIG-traffic and local administration had recommended the closure of schools during the four-day period.
