LAHORE: Retired Major Majid Waseem, Zoraiz Lashari, and retired Lt Col Ahmed Ali Khan were elected as chairman, president and secretary, respectively, of the Pakistan Swimming Federation (PSF) on Monday. Sources indicate that the PSF elections were initially scheduled to take place in a few months. However, they were expedited in light of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) preparing to assume control over the election process for sports federations, with a meeting scheduled for November 28. Additionally, as the elections for the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) have been set for December 30, the PSF decided to hold its elections earlier than planned. The newly-elected office-bearers will serve a four-year term, spanning from 2025 to 2028.
