KARACHI: Around 3,000 individuals are expected to participate in the second edition of ‘Karachi Marathon’ on Sunday (tomorrow) at Seaview. The events include a full marathon, a half marathon, a five-kilometer run and a relay marathon, ensuring that male and female participants of all ages can take part, said the organisers at a media briefing on Friday. They said athletes from 10 countries, including the US, Poland, Japan and Germany are participating in the internationally certified marathon. Shoaib Nizami, CEO of Sports in Pakistan, stated that the Karachi Marathon is considered a global event, similar to the marathons held in many other cities. “Every winner of this marathon can claim the title of champion internationally and participate in any international marathon,” he said.
