SUKKUR: Kandhkot police on Thursday lodged a case on behalf of state against 250 protesters, who placed bodies of two slain litigants outside SSP office and staged a demonstration three days back, under sections of Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA). ASI Khamiso Khan Chandio filed the case as complaint at A-Section police station against 250 demonstrators, including Khalil Ahmed, local journalist Abdul Wahid, Chanesar and Ghulam Haider Malik who protested against the murder of Javed Malik and Babal Malik. The two were gunned down on their way back home when they were returning after appearing in court. The victims’ supporters said that instead of taking action against the alleged killer, who belonged to Choliyani clan, police had lodged an FIR under Sections 341, 353, 427, 109, 506/2, 147, 149, 332 PPC 6/7 and ATA against 250 Malik clansmen who were protesting against for police failure to take action the attackers. Kandhkot-Kashmore SSP Bashir Ahmed Brohi did not attend calls nor replied to text messages sent to him by the reporter to seek his comments.
