The two were gunned down on their way back home when they were returning after appearing in court. The victims’ supporters said that instead of taking action against the alleged killer, who belonged to Choliyani clan, police had lodged an FIR under Sections 341, 353, 427, 109, 506/2, 147, 149, 332 PPC 6/7 and ATA against 250 Malik clansmen who were protesting against for police failure to take action the attackers. Kandhkot-Kashmore SSP Bashir Ahmed Brohi did not attend calls nor replied to text messages sent to him by the reporter to seek his comments.
