Ahmed, Bilal claim doubles title

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ahmed Nael Qureshi and Bilal Asim defeated compatriots Haider Ali Rizwan and Abubakar Talha in the boys’ doubles final of the ITF Pakistan J30 Ali Embroidery World Junior Tennis Championship here at the PTF Complex on Saturday. Ahmed and Bilal comfortably won the decider 6-3, 6-3. Meanwhile, Sion Ji of Korea defeated China’s Xiuyuan Guo 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 in the boys’ singles final. Sri Lanka’s Dinara De Silva defeated Karolina Ligai of Kazakhstan 6-3, 6-4 in the girls singles final. The qualifying round of the ITF Pakistan PPL-Syed Dilawar Abbas World Junior Championship started on Saturday while the main round commences on Monday.
