Rude cab drivers

WHEN people book a ride through various ride-hailing services, they look forward to a commute in peace compared to the hassles involved in using public transport. However, the irritation caused by rude drivers makes it a rather harrowing experience for many. Unfortunately, the number of such incidents is on the rise. It has become a common occurrence now that cab drivers accept ride requests only to later cancel them or fail to show up at the scheduled time. No doubt, this becomes especially problematic in emergency situations where time is of critical essence. Besides, in some instances, drivers not only cancel rides, but also refuse to provide any valid reason, leaving the passengers stranded and frustrated. Moreover, in situations where a person needs to travel urgently, such as medical emergencies or time-sensitive appoin-tments, these delays cause significant inconvenience and distress. I suggest that ride-hailing services improve their rider-driver communication, ensuring that the drivers confirm the ride and set clear expectations regarding timing. Additionally, there should be a more efficient process in place for pass-engers to report such issues, ensuring timely resolutions. Offering alternative transportation in all such cases would greatly enhance customer satisfaction and reliability.
